Old American Cars In Havana

Old but very well preserved American cars in Havana, Cuba. After 1959 Fidel Castro banned imports of foreign cars. The result was to keep and preserve the cars that remained on the island. Most of the cars are Ford, Chevrolet and Mercury. Nowadays the majority of the colorful old cars are used as taxi for tourists in Havana. (Photo by Nicolas Economou/NurPhoto)
