Brazilian Economy Grows In The Third Quarter
SAO PAULO, December 2, 2018 - A customer makes purchases in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on December 2, 2018. Brazil's economy grew by 0.8 percent in the third quarter of the year compared to the previous three months , reported the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). "It could be said that Brazil passed the test, it is not a wonderful result, but it could be considered reasonable considering what we lost, taking into account that the result in the second quarter was very weak (0.2 percent) due to the strike of truck drivers, which paralyzed the country in May, and in this third quarter we had an uncertain electoral panorama and a disturbed international scenario ", explained the economist of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) Silvia Matos.
