Jones Huala is the highest authority of Pu Lof in Resistencia de Cushamen, the community that has fought to recover its ancestral territory in the hands of the multinational Benetton. In the Oral Court of Valdivia, an oral trial begins against the Lonco Mapuche Facundo Jones Huala, accused of fire and illegal possession of a weapon, for events that occurred in 2013. The Lonco Jones Huala was extradited from Argentina in September. Due to these facts, 2 oral trials have been held where all but the Machi Millaray Huichalaf have been acquitted, whose cause is found in the Inter-American Commission for the use of evidence obtained under the Intelligence Act in Valdivia, Chile.
