Christmas Eve Peace Walk In The Netherlands

Fakkeltocht or Torchlight procession in Christmas Eve for Peace in Eindhoven city, The Netherlands. The flame in the torches comes from The World Peace Flame. Before the walk, there was service held in the Church, during the walk there where musicians playing Christmas songs, Santa Claus making people smile and warm wine as it is called Glühwein or mulled wine was offered from the bars and restaurants. People could visit also the Fatih mosque and afterwards all the torches created a big fire, a tradition that takes place every Christmas Eve, since 1992. In the end, there was a stage with a Christmas concert. (Photo by Nicolas Economou/NurPhoto)
