Fallen Reporters Memorial In Bayeux
A view of a stele at the Memorial to Fallen Reporters for the year 2018 with over 30 names of journalists killed on duty that year. To ensure the names of journalists killed while doing their jobs are never forgotten, the town of Bayeux, in collaboration with the association Reporters Sans Frontières, erected in 2006 a memorial dedicated to remembering reporters killed around the world since 1944. It comprises a landscaped promenade, punctuated by 30 white stones on which are engraved the names of over 2,500 journalists who paid with their lives to keep us informed. On Sunday, December 30, 2018, in Bayeux, Normandy, France. (Photo by Artur Widak/NurPhoto)
