Daily Life In Laos

The view of Vang Vieng, Laos, in December 2018. Since the end of the 90s, Vang Vieng has been opened as a tourist site for western backpackers. The town quickly evolved from an agricultural community into the party capital, with excess alcohol, drugs, and fatal accidents. Started from 2012, the government of Laos has intervened in the situation, closing most of the problematic bars and dens and setting the course for the town developed as a center of ecological tourism.
