Anti-Austerity 'Women's March In London

Women set off from Portland Place for the anti-austerity 'Women's March for Bread and Roses' in London, England, on January 19, 2019. The march, organised by the Women's March London campaign group, took its name from the 'bread and roses' call to action of women-led labour movements in the United States in the early 1900s: a slogan that signalled the expectation of both the basic necessities of life (bread) and a good quality of living (roses).
