Damage Of Agricultural Land Due To Earthquakes In Indonesia
Sigi, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia (February 14, 2019): Motorists crossed near a cracked and dry patch of agricultural land in Karawana Village, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, Thursday, February 14, 2019. Hundreds of hectares of agricultural land in the region cannot be treated because of cracks caused by land shifts and damage to irrigation channels by the September 28, 2018 earthquake. Thousands of residents who previously worked as farmers in the village were forced to look for other jobs to be able to support their families such as building labor or becoming old iron scavengers.
