Daily Life In Tibetan Buddhist Monastery In Nepal
Women go up the mountain surrounded by prayer flags to work in the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, Kavrepalanchok District, Bagmati Zone, Nepal, in February 2019. Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, located about 45 kilometers outside of Kathmandu, is a large Tibetan Buddhist monastic complex with several hundred monks. The site for this monastery is Tagmo Lüjin (the place where the future Buddha sacrificed his body to a tigress) which held as supremely sacred to Tibetan Buddhism and one of the most important Buddhist religious sites in Nepal, popular for both Nepalis and Tibetans pilgrims.
