Kurdish Forces Fighting Islamic State Inside Kobane, Syria

In Kobane ordinary Kurds, including women and older people, are quickly converted into seasoned war veterans in the streets and ruins of what they call "our Stalingrad". The fighting is measured in feet; objectives are buildings or even rooms in buildings. Buildings that are still standing are converted into fortresses.
