Communion in the Finnish Lutheran church in the village of Petrovo, Leningrad region (near St. Petersburg), Russia, on 3 March 2019. he first mention of the Lutheran Church of the Skvoritsy dates back to 1763. By the decision of the local authorities in 1937 the church was closed, and a club was organized in the building. Services resumed during the German occupation in 1942-1944. With the return of the Soviet power, the spiritual life was again interrupted, until 1989, when the church service was held in a dilapidated church.(Photo by Dmitry Ermakov/NurPhoto)
