Operation Free Shabelle In Somalia
[EDITORS NOTE: Image depicts graphic content] On 22nd of May 2012 AMISOM together with the Somali national Army initiated Operation Free Shabelle to free the city of Afgoye some 30 kilometres from Mogadishu from Al Shabaab. 2,000 Ugandan soldiers with 10 T-55s plus support vehicles moved through the bush for three days taking the town of Arabiska six kilometres south of Afgoye on the third day and Afgoye on the fourth day.
