Trash collectors employ donkeys in Southern Turkey
Municipal workers wake before sunrise to prepare the donkeys for the workday, which begins at 6:30 am. In the historic city of Mardin, much of which dates back to the 12th century, street sweepers use donkeys to collect trash and debris. Mardin is the only city in Turkey that has a working municipal donkey crew. (Photo by Jodi Hilton/NurPhoto)
