Filipino Olympic Skater performs in Manila

Filipino Olympic skater Michael Martinez performs a routine during a practice before his special performance and meet and greet session at the SM MOA on February 25, 2014. Michael Christian Martinez is the first figure skater from Southeast Asia to qualify for the Olympics, Martinez was also the only athlete representing the Philippines at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia and served as his country's flagbearer at the opening ceremony. Martinez who started skating in a commercial mall, qualified for the free skate in Sochi, after placing 19th in the short program with a score of 64.81 points.
