Injured Refugee Family In Diavata Makeshift Camp, Thessaloniki, Greece

A refugee family that got injured during the clashes between police and refugees the past 2 days. Mother claimed to be hit by a policeman on the face and children fell of their carriage, leaving them with visible marks. Chaos with clashes between refugees, migrants and the police. Refugees tried to march to the Northern Greek borders after a false rumor of open borders called " Glitter of hope " that spread via social media and Greek police blocked them using riot police forces and tear gas as angry migrants threw stones, bottles and sticks towards them in their effort to reach the borders and continue their trip further to central or northern Europe. The location of gathering and staying in the makeshift camp is next to Diavata Anagnostopoulou Refugee Camp, near Thessaloniki, Greece. April 6, 2019 (Photo by Nicolas Economou/NurPhoto)
