Daily Life In Amsterdam
Boats and vessels inside the canals of Amsterdam in The Netherlands, with traditional houses and bridges over the water. The little ships are used for commuting but also tourist sightseeing specially during the day in spring and summer. The Dutch capital has more than 100km of Grachten meaning canals with more than 90 islands and 1500 bridges. Three are the main canals Herengracht, Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht, constructed during the 17th century or the Dutch Golden Age. Amsterdam has the nickname and fame as Venice of the North. The canal ring area is in UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2010. The city center is one of the most famous and popular destinations in the country and Europe.
