Inter-Korean Family Reunion Event

March 30, 2004-Gosung, South Korea- South Korean Yang Tae-hyong (R) meets his North Korean son Yang Yong-sik (C) and granddaughter at Mt. Kumgang resort in North Korea on March 29, 2004. Yang Yong-sik (C), who is originally South Korean, was among 12 crew when their ship, Dongjin 27, was kidnapped by North Korean authorities on January 15, 1987. A total of 147 South Koreans met 494 North Korean relatives, who were seperated mostly by the 1950-53 Korean War, on Monday during the ninth round of inter-Korean family reunions held in the mountain resort in North Korea.
