The method of Hydraulic Fracturing, commonly known as 'fracking' and debated at the Guardian Live event, involves pumping various materials in to shale rocks at high pressure. Chaired by The Guardian's environment editor, Damian Carrington, the participants of the debate included Tony Bosworth, Michael Bradshaw, Nick Riley and Natalie Bennett.
