TUI Airways Boeing 737 MAX 8 airplane grounded at Tenerife South - Reina Sofia International Airport TSF GCTS in Tenerife, Canary Islands in Spain, the aircraft has the registration G-TUMF. The plane is grounded with wheels and engines covered since March 12, 2019 as the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency suspended all flight operations of the 737 MAX 8 and 737 MAX 9 with a safety directive because of the MCAS system failure resulting two accidents of the same new aircraft type. The aircraft has the name is Malaga, it arrived from Manchester MAN to Tenerife Sur TFS with flight number BY2202 but didn't return to Manchester. TUI Airways, formerly Thomson Airways BY TOM TOMJET is the largest charter airline in the world and Tour Operator, the airline already had in service 6 Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 14 Boeing 737 MAX 10 in order.
