Post Election Riots In Jakarta

Hundreds of Police Officers blocked hundreds of demonstrators trying to enter the Bawaslu Building in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the night of May 22, 2019. This action became chaotic because of provocateurs in Peace Action. There are 183 provocateurs arrested by the Police. Eight people were killed and more than 541 people were injured in mass demonstrations in Central Jakarta on Wednesday after Indonesian officials announced that President Joko Widodo was re-elected president, defeating Prabowo Subianto with 55.5% of the vote against 44.5% for former generals.
