Aftermath Of The Storm In Halkidiki, The Fatal Tavern

A view of the Tevern in Halkidiki, Greece, on July 11, 2019. The tavern - restaurant where an 8 year old boy and his 54 year old mother from Romania lost their lives when the roof collapsed and the wind blew with tremendous speed. The aftermath of the devastated popular summer destination area of Halkdiki in Greece that is in State of Emergency after a heavy and deadly flash storm killed 7 people, 6 tourists from Russia, Czech Republic and Romania and a local fisherman on July 10, 2019. The storm had a duration of 20 min with heavy wind gusts reaching a speed of more than 100km/h. There was an electricity outbreak that still is not restored and fixed, with many hotels having no electricity. The army helped with generators. The area is trying to recover as Nea Plagia, Potidea and Sozopoli in Chalkidiki are famous summer destinations for holidays. (Photo by Nicolas Economou/NurPhoto)
