The standing rock, Roque Cinchado, a rock pillar of 27m high made of volcaniclastic sedimentary rock layers and Pico El Teide and other standing rocks around. El Teide is an active volcano and the highest point of Spain at 3718m. , with iron rich basaltic cinders that have oxidized to give the reddish and brown colors. There is clearly visible the lava flow on this Stratovolcano that petrified after its last eruption in 1909.
