75th Anniversary Of Saint-Lo Liberation

U.S. veteran Ralph Hansen, 96 years old, a true star of the commemorative ceremonies of the liberation of Saint-Lo, returned for the first time to Saint-Lo since the liberation in 1944. Saint-Lo was destoyed during the Second World War, after American bombardments caused heavy damage in town (up to 95% of the city was destroyed) and a high number of casualties, which resulted in the martyr city being called 'The Capital of Ruins'.
