Record Breaking Heatwave In Toulouse
Algae blossom in the river Garonne which is eutrophicated due to hot weather, lack of water and nitrate'pollution. For the 2nd time in a month, an intense heatwave is on Western Europe, particulary France. In Toulouse, temperatures reached 39°C at 6pm. Several records of temperature have been broken in Bordeaux, Paris, Le Mans, etc. More than 80 departments are under heat alert from Meteo-France. The National weather service forecast a record for Paris at more than 40°C on Thursday. Winds from the Sahara desert are responsible for this 2nd heatwave, one of the more intense heatwave since the beginning of the XXe century. Toulouse. France. July 23th 2019.
