Sita Amman Temple In Sri Lanka

Sita Amman Temple (Seeta Amman Temple) in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, on 5 Septermber 2017. This temple is dedicated to Sita (Seeta) (the wife of Lord Rama) and is believed to be built in the exact place where Sita was held captive by the demon-king Ravana some 5000 years ago as detailed in the Hindu epic Ramayana. The temple is treated with enduring devotion by Hindus as it is considered to be the only such temple in the world. (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
