Impact Of Electricity Shut Down In Jakarta And Surrounding Areas
Food vendor serving customers by lantern and cell phone flash light as the electricity shut down in the 2nd day in Wanasari Village, Bekasi district, West Java province, on Monday, August 5, 2019. Jakarta and surrounding areas was blackout since Sunday, August 4, due to the interference with 500kv Extra High Voltage Air Line transmission system. The blackout causing impact on a number of public service facilities such as commuter line system, MRT, traffic light, and also affect to a number of industries and small bussiness in the community, with potencial losses reaching tens of billions of Rupiah.
