Sri Lanka Wildlife - Yala National Park
A Crested Hawk-eagle or Changeable Hawk-eagle is seen at Yala National Park (also known as Ruhunu National Park), some 260kms Southeast of capital Colombo on August 10, 2019. Yala National Park is the second-largest and the most popular national park in Sri Lanka. Many visitors of Yala National Park hope to catch a glimpse of the majestic Sri Lankan leopard and Yala is one of the highest leopard densities in the world. This is home to 44 mammal species and 215 bird species including Asian Elephants, Crocodiles, Water Buffalos, Peacocks, White-bellied, Sea Eagles, Painted Strokes, Wild boar and Blue-tailed bee-eaters.
