The Glienicke Bridge
View of the Glienicker Bridge, on 18 August 2019 in Brandenburg, Potsdam, Germany. The Soviet Union and the United States, during the period of the Cold War, used the bridge for a long time to exchange their respective prisoner spies and for this reason the bridge was nicknamed the "bridge of spies". It was a special bridge, as it was only Soviet-controlled on the GDR side and there were no East German troops, unlike the other checkpoints. (Photo by Andrea Ronchini/NurPhoto)
