Solidarity With Harassed Judges' Protest In Krakow

Protesters, mainly members of the Committee for the Defence of Democracy (Polish: KOD) and members of the Polish opposition parties, seen outside Krakow's District Court to express their solidarity with the harassed judges. This protest was organised around the country in reaction to Onet's website publications revealing the talks of the former Deputy Minister of Justice, Łukasz Piebiak, with a woman named Emilia, who is thought to have discredited some judges, including the head of the Association of Polish Judges "Iustitia". The woman's actions consisted of anonymous sending of compromising materials to the media and judges, which took place with the Justice Deputy Minister's knowledge. He has since resigned.
