Soviet Hammer and sickle sign on the Vityaz research vessel is seen in Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad, Russia, on 7 September 2019 Vityaz built in 1939 by Deutsche Schiff- und Maschinenbau AG, Bremen, Germany as Mars for Neptun Line, Bremen, served with the Kriegsmarine during WWII and allocated to the Soviet Union in 1946, renamed Vityaz in 1949 and used as a research vessel.
