Climate Protesters And Gilets Jaunes March In Paris

Police officers (including one suffocating) used tear gas in a street perpendicular to the Champs-Elysées in order to disperse the few Yellow Vests that tried to demonstrate there despite the prefecture's ban on Saturday, September 21, 2019, for the act 45 of the Yellow Vests that organized a major day of national mobilization in Paris with the aim of winning back the Champs-Elysées. After having tried in vain all morning to gather in the centre of Paris, each time dispersed by the police, the Yellow Vests and Black Bloc joined the climate march organised by environmental organisations. Quickly, clashes between the Black Bloc and the police broke out along the route of the procession, until late at night. (Photo by Samuel Boivin/NurPhoto)
