Emergency Nurses And Physicians Demonstrate In Toulouse To Save Emergency Services

Protesters were blocked by riot police as they wanted to go to the Prefecture. The placard reads 'Let's us save our lives'. Emergency doctors and nurses took part to a national day of action and protest as they are on strike for the 7rd month in a row. At national level, they formed a group called 'Inter emergency collective' Emergency physicians say that emergency services are beyond saturation point. They denounce a reduction of people in emergency services in public hospitals and demand 10 000 nurses more. In Toulouse, emergency services of the Purpan hospital were closed today as all workers went on sick leave. For now, more than 250 emergency services are on strike in France. Toulouse. France.
