Anti-Government Protests Continue In Hong Kong
People protest a government ban on face masks on October 4, 2019 in Hong Kong, China. On Oct 4th, 2019 Chief Executive Carrie Lam declared that wearing face masks while taking part in anti government demonstrations would be illegal, punishable by a fine and jail term. Thousands of protesters took to the streets to oppose this proclamation, wearing masks as they marched through Hong Kong island. Several Chinese owned businesses including banks and shops were attacked by protesters in Wan Chai and Causeway Bay as the protest stretched into the night. (Photo Adryel Talamantes/NurPhoto)
