View of Osiou Gregoriou Orthodox (Greek or Eastern) Christian monastery in Mount Athos peninsula, the autonomous monastic state in Halkidiki, Greece on 6 October 2019. It was founded in the 14th century by the ascetic Saint Gregory or Gregorius and is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. The monastery is build by the sea like a castle - fortress form with traditional Byzantine architecture.
