Fewer Accidents But More Drunk Drivers This All Saints Weekend in Poland

Today, Polish Police Headquarters announced stats for this year's 'Candle 2019 Action' (Polish: Akcja Znicz) - an annual campaign organized during All Saints' Day weekend. 268 road accidents occurred in Poland (31 Oct to 3 Nov). 25 people were killed, 346 wounded, and 1,245 drunk drivers were detained. The number of accidents compared to the same period in 2018 fell by 99. In addition, a year ago there were 23 more casualties and 116 more injuries.
