25th Anniversary Of The Death Of The Trawler Francesco Padre With Its Crew

Fishing boat in the Port of Molfetta on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the disappearance of the crew aboard the fishing boat Francesco Padre, in Molfetta, Italy, on November 4, 2019. On 4 November 1994, the trawler Francesco Padre exploded off the coast of Montenegro with all his human cargo. That night Giovanni Pansini, Saverio Gadaleta, Luigi De Giglio, Francesco Zaza and Mario De Nicolo lost their lives. To remember them on the evening of November 4th, relatives met in church, but also fellow fishermen, representatives of fishermen's associations, the mayor, Tommaso Minervini, civil and military authorities. At the end of the religious service, after a brief procession, some fishing boats and a patrol boat of the port authorities launched a crown in the water mirror of the port in Molfetta.
