Tthey are planning a series of nationwide demonstrations this weekend in a bid to show the government they can still muster support on the first anniversary of their movement. Several thousands protesters took to the streets of Toulouse. But the peaceful protest came to a sudden end as riot police and Gendarmerie Mobile (military) fired water cannon and fired volleys tear gas canisters till the end of the demo after hours of cat and mouse game.
