Madrid City Council Removes The Plates With The Names Of The Victims The Brutal Regime Of Francisco Franco In La Almudena Cemetery

In a statement the organizers say that the government team intends to modify the project that has been paralyzed since July 17 in the Eastern Cemetery, where the names of at least 2,937 executed persons should be inscribed. `The current municipal government team has openly expressed its intention to remove the gravestones with names already installed in the Eastern Cemetery monument and to change completely the significance of the Memorial, ´they say.
