French Farmers Protest In Paris
Around a hundred farmers poured straw on the Champs-Elysées before being surrounded by police on Wednesday 27 November 2019, while at the initiative of the FNSEA agricultural unions and the Jeunes Agriculteurs (JA) around a thousand tractors and farmers took over the Paris ring road and organised a traffic blockade to protest against the anti-pesticide orders and what they call the Agribashing. They occupied the periphery and briefly the Champs-Elysées while waiting to be received by the responsible minister and a representative of the Elysée. (Photo by Samuel Boivin/NurPhoto)
