Work Continues On London 'Super Sewer' Project

Work continues on the Thames Tideway Tunnel, colloquially known as the 'Super Sewer', in a walled-off area of the River Thames beside Vauxhall Bridge in London, England, on November 30, 2019. The 25km tunnel, begun in 2016 and due for completion in 2024, will form a major upgrade to London's 150-year-old sewer system, which at present allows huge amounts of raw sewage to spill into the Thames each year.
