Demonstration Against Retirement Reform In Paris

Tuesday, December 17, 2019, thousands of people demonstrated again in Paris (France) against the pension reform project at the call of the inter-union (CGT, FO, FSU, Solidaires, FIDL, MNL, UNEF, UNL) who had called to harden the movement following the details of the bill to reform the pension system (''pivotal'' age at 64, end of special schemes, application of the new point system from the generation born in 1975) presented by Prime Minister Edouard Philippe on December 11.For the first time since the mobilization began, the reformist unions CFDT, UNSA and CFTC have called to join the procession considering that the establishment of the pivotal age of 64 constitutes a ''red line not to be crossed''.Clashes occurred at the end of the demonstration between radical activists and the police.
