Protest Against CAA And NRC In New Delhi

Women hold a sit-in protest since December 15, 2019 against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at Shaheen Bagh, Okhla in New Delhi, India on December 28, 2019. The Citizenship Amendment Act has triggered nationwide protests as it paved way for six minority communities Hindus, Sikhs, Jain, Buddhists, Zoroastrians and Christians who came to India from Pakistan, Bangladesh or Afghanistan to escape religious persecution before December 31, 2014 to get Indian citizenship.
