Kashmir Shutdown On The Execution Anniversary Of Maqbool Bhat

Indian paramilitary soldiers partolling during a shutdown in Srinagar on the execution anniversary of Maqbool Bhat who was the leader of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) a pro-freedom orginization which was banned by Indian government February 11,2020 .Maqbool was hanged and buried at the Tihar jail in India's capital New Delhi on February 11, 1984. Shops and business establishments remain closed in Srinagar following the shutdown call by separatist organization whose leadership is placed under house arrest by Indian government after the revocation of Article 370 of Indian constitution which granted Kashmir autonomy.
