Youth Activists Hold One-Year Anniversary 'Climate Strike' In London

Members of environmentalist movement Extinction Rebellion hold a banner highlighting air pollution in the London borough of Camden as young people take part in a 'climate strike' demonstration organised by the youth-led 'Fridays For Future' activist movement in Parliament Square in London, England, on February 14, 2020. The event marks one year since the first global wave of climate strike protests brought hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren onto the streets in cities around the world to call for greater action from governments to tackle the climate crisis. Several such coordinated global events have since been held, with worldwide climate activism over the past year further bolstered by the tandem growth of the Extinction Rebellion movement, whose direct action protests are set to continue throughout 2020.
