Istiklal Street In Istanbul

Istiklal Avenue or Istiklal Street is one of the most famous avenues in Istanbul, Turkey, visited by nearly 3 million people in a single day over the course of weekends. The street has ben transformed within the last 20 years. The local stores, small retailers and restaurants have been turned into frenchaise stores, historical buildings on the street were restored without paying attention to the original versions. These changed the atmosphere of the street for the residents. There is an increase in the number of famous stores for Turkish sweets and desserts that attrack the tourists, such as the ''baklava''.
