Protest Against The Creation Of A New Refugee Camp In Lesvos
Locals in Lesvos island, Greece, on February 15, 2020, protest with the support of local authorities against the new closed structure, fenced, a new prison-like refugee camp and detention center that will work as reception and identification center. People blocked the road leading to the location of the new hotspot, as the island already has the largest refugee camp in Europe during this refugee crisis, Moria where conditions are inhumane and the number of people is rising as more migrants and refugees are coming. The government has the new masterplan of the closed facilities so people will be deported back to their home country or transferred to europe faster. (Photo by Nicolas Economou/NurPhoto)
