Shower In The Mud At Moria Camp
A mother from Afghanistan is washing her child with cold tap water in the mud, outside of their family handmade tent at the makeshift refugee camp Moria in Lesvos Island, Greece. The "jungle" or olive groove or "hell" is the settlement of refugees on a hill, in the mud from migrants and asylum seekers outside Moria first reception, registration and detention center. The boy is having a shower, a bath just from a cold bottle of water during the winter. The tents have no basic facilities like heat, running water, sewage, electricity, toilets etc. Moria is considered a hygiene bomb. February 2020 (Photo by Nicolas Economou/NurPhoto)
