Refugees And Migrants Stuck At Pazarkule Border Crossing Between Turkey And Greece
On 29 February, 2020, thousands of refugees and migrants arrived at the Pazarkule border crossing between Greece and Turkey and were denied passage to the enter the European Union, despite prior claims by Turkish Pres. Recep Tayyip Erdogan that he would open the border gates for migrants from Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Syria, following a clash with Syrian regime forces that left at least 36 Turkish soldiers dead in the Idlib province.
