Coronavirus Was Detected In Turkey

The first coronavirus (COVID-19) case was announced this Wednesday, a man who had recently returned from Europe. The health minister Fahrettin Koca reported that the patient, his family and others who had come into contact with him were currently in quarantine. The second case was confirmed by the health minister on March 13, 2020. Turkish schools will be closed for one week, universities for three weeks from March 16, and sports events will be held without spectators until end-April. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) is conducting disinfection work in public areas and subway stations to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
