Toulouse: 2nd Day On Lockdown Due To Coronavirus Covid-19 Outbreak
The most iconic and touristic place of Toulouse, the Capitole, is nearly empty due to measures on Covid-19 outbreak. For the 2nd day, French people are on lockdown. On Monday March 16th, French President Macron announced that all people will be on lockdown due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. In Toulouse as elsewhere in France, all shops 'non essentials' were closed until further notice. Police patrols the streets to check people outside. People must have a permit to move around. As the Covid-19 coronavirus spreads across France, President Macron announced the closing down of all schools, highchools, universities to try to contain the spread of the coronavirus on March 12th.
